Glenborrodale fortified valley (locals speak of a Viking warrior named Borrodil), clings to the north shore of Loch Sunart. The enticing, single track road leads you through the village and past the magnificent castle, once home to diamond magnates and philanthropists, now a warm and welcoming Highland haven. It then carves its way through ancient rock and woodland to the tiny hamlet of Glenbeg, and Adelphi's singular Ardnamurchan Distillery.
